The men were stopped around 12:45 a.m., Wednesday, July 24, when troopers spotted the 2018 Chevy Suburban they were in traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on the highway in Milford, said the Connecticut State Police.

During the stop, troopers determined there was marijuana in the vehicle and a search uncovered more than a half-ounce of pot in various places throughout the SUV, state police said.

All three men, including the driver, Evan Bogard, 39, of Bayside, New York; Joshua Salzberg, 37, of Hollywood, California, and Brandt Steiner, 29, of Miami Beach, were charged with possession of marijuana. The driver was also charged with speeding and passing on the right.

They were released on $1,000 cash bonds each, and are scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 20.
